Department Announces First Network-Wide Readiness Exercise

The Defence Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network today announced that the first Network-wide readiness exercise will be held in the final quarter of 2026. Every member organization of the Velocity Interoperability Network is expected to participate.

The exercise will test the continuity of interoperable services under simulated disruption, the speed with which incidents are reported and contained, and the effectiveness of the coordination arrangements set out in the Interim Network Defence Framework.

Members will receive planning guidance from the Department in the coming weeks. A summary of the exercise's findings will be published in the Newsroom once it has concluded.
