Department Publishes Interim Network Defence Framework

The Defence Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network has published the first edition of the Interim Network Defence Framework. The framework sets out the Department's responsibilities, the classification of shared Network infrastructure, and the principles that members apply when protecting the systems they operate on behalf of the Network.

The framework is described as interim because it will be revised once the Department has completed its consultation with members and the first Network-wide readiness exercise has taken place.
